Foundation Certificates in
Professional and Digital Marketing
To gain the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Professional and Digital Marketing a pass in the mandatory module and the elective module is required. The qualification size is 24 credits.

To gain the CIM Level 3 Extended Foundation Certificate in Professional and Digital Marketing a pass in the mandatory module and both elective module is required. The qualification size is 36 credits.

Each module can be taken as an individual award, which can be built up to achieve the full qualification.
Qualification overview
The Level 3 CIM Foundation Certificate and Extended Foundation Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing are designed to offer progression to all Level 4 CIM qualifications. The aim of the Foundation Certificates is to equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to perform in a support level role and to carry out an essential and successful professional and digital marketing role within the workplace. Some typical job titles of those studying this qualification may include: marketing assistant, promotional assistant, marketing campaigns assistant, digital marketing assistant, social media assistant and content marketing assistant.

Entry criteria
It is not necessary to have any previous experience or knowledge of marketing to study the Foundation Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing or the Extended Foundation Certificate in Professional & Digital Marketing. So, if you’re an aspiring marketer, new to a marketing support role or in a job that already involves digital marketing, CIM qualifications at Level 3 are the right choice for you.

If English is not your first language, you will also need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications within the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above.
